President Iain Wiseman was aware of the Rotary Foundation needs for money to proliferate their good acts and to that end wished to raise more cash per head.

( Non Rotarian) and David Mackay Club Rotarian were nominated by Club for a
Community Award Dorothy Borland became the overall winner.
18 charities received monies from the club this year totalling £1750
Schools participated in this years Burns Competition.
J Lacey President of RI awarded the Club the Significant Achievement Award for the work being done by the Club.
Presidential Citation also Awarded.
A national football tournament was organised for adults with adults with learning difficulties. Our club took this on board and with the expertise of Club convener Andrew Ferguson we ran a successful tournament.
The demise of Rotarian, Past President & Paul Harris Fellow, Eric Barr occurred this year he served our Club & Rotary for 27 years & 2 months Rotary service January 1968- March 1999. (Contd next Slide)
A plane load of Rotarians attended the RIBI Conference missing out by two to Aberdeen RC with having the most attendees. We stayed in the very comfortable Jury's of Ballsbridge, the visit and all the arrangements organised by Liam Donnelly.
Iain Wiseman and Andrew Ferguson attended all the important plenum sessions and the dinner with our wives and some colleagues, while we all enjoyed the visit to J&B Distillery , Temple Bar , and the sights and scenes of Dublin ( some special ones only known to Mr Donnelly).
